I have watched children from ages <1 to around 14 years old. I have watched them at home, in church settings, and in neighborhood settings. I do what I can to play with them and keep them entertained but also make sure to uphold the rules that were given to me by the parents. I have worked well into the night before, so that is never an issue. What is your personal philosophy for childcare? My personal philosophy for childcare is to connect with the child. I believe that a lot of babysitters just find that they can make easy money out of this, but I prefer to have fun with the kids that I babysit, so that it makes it a good experience for them. I want babysitting to always be an option for the parents because being a parent is exhausting. If the kids don't have a good time with the babysitter, then they likely won't want the parents to leave them with one again. My goal is to make sure everyone is happy and gets to do what they want or get a break that they deserve.

I've been working with children in a professional setting since I was 15, but I have generally been working with children and babysitting since 2018. I have worked several years as a summer camp counselor for K-5 students as well. I have experience working with children with special needs such as autism and ADHD. I love working to get to know each individual child and understanding the individual needs and unique interests of each of them. I'm able to assist with homework, as I have experience as a student assistant in elementary-level classrooms. I am also equipped to handle emergency situations, and I am certified in CPR/First Aid by the Red Cross. I love keeping kids engaged in different activities that will offer a fun environment!

My love for childcare really started back in eighth grade when I cared for my infant nephew during the summer while my sister worked. That experience taught me patience, responsibility, and how important it is for parents to feel safe leaving their child with someone they trust. I began babysitting in 2024 for a small family from my church. Over the years, I’ve also helped care for my nieces and nephews, assisting with feeding, diaper changes, bedtime routines, homework help, and keeping them engaged with creative activities instead of just screen time. I’m comfortable preparing simple meals, maintaining a clean and organized space, supervising outdoor play, helping with basic school assignments, and following specific household rules and schedules.

I have been babysitting since around June 2019. Throughout the years I have had the joy of at-home babysitting, camp counseling, and swim lessons/camp. I consider myself a creative person, and I believe the sky’s the limit in what fun and enrichment a child can learn and explore through a safe environment. I also have experience with special needs and allergies.

I have spent most of my time working with children in some sort of capacity since 2015! I have worked in church settings (both nursery and Vacation Bible School), in a dance studio teaching elementary school children, as well as privately in homes as a babysitter. I love kids and have decided to continue my schooling in Human Development & Family Sciences, hoping to become a pediatric developmental therapist.

I am a current student at Florida State University pursuing a bachelor's in Elementary Education and a master's in Curriculum/Instruction. Choosing the career to teach was a calling for me, and being able to babysit is such a privilege. I worked at a summer camp and after-school program for over a year, and as a kid growing up, I volunteered for my local church's VBS and sports camps. I take pride in the fact that I know how to make kids smile and believe in themselves, and I also have a patience for them, I hope I can do the same for your family!

As the oldest of four kids, I’ve always been the “second mom,” and have been babysitting since 2017. In the summer of 2025, I worked as a camp counselor, where I led activities like making bracelets, building forts out of cardboard boxes, and even teaching kids how to fish. In previous summers, I worked at two Vacation Bible Schools, serving as a craft leader where I created and helped kids with different crafts, and as a camp leader in the baby, toddler, and Pre-K rooms.

I also grew up dancing and helped teach young children from the time I was 12 onwards. I spent a lot of my time volunteering at my mom's school when I was in middle school and high school. She has worked as a special education teacher my whole life, so I have had plenty of experience working with children who have special needs. Currently, being a student at Florida State has furthered my love for helping nurture children further. I have just finished ASL at Florida State, and hope to continue my knowledge on the language further.

I have experience caring for newborns, infants, and toddlers through both my work at a daycare and as an older sibling. I am comfortable with feeding, diaper changes, maintaining sleep schedules, and soothing routines for younger children. With toddlers, I provided supervision, engaged them in age-appropriate activities, assisted with meals, and supported their developmental growth. My experience from working in a daycare has strengthened my ability to manage multiple children, stay attentive, and create a safe, nurturing environment.
