Ms. Kathryn L.

Birthday: January 20th

Hometown: St. Augustine, FL

Favorite Crayola color: Cotton Candy

Background: I am currently a student at Florida State University double majoring in finance and risk management. As the oldest of four kids, I’ve always been the “second mom,” and have been babysitting since 2017. In the summer of 2025, I worked as a camp counselor, where I led activities like making bracelets, building forts out of cardboard boxes, and even teaching kids how to fish. In previous summers, I worked at two Vacation Bible Schools, serving as a craft leader where I created and helped kids with different crafts, and as a camp leader in the baby, toddler, and Pre-K rooms. I have experience caring for children ranging from 6 months to 13 years old.

I love working with kids because they bring so much energy, curiosity, and joy to each day. I enjoy supporting their growth, helping them learn new things, and creating a safe and positive environment where they can thrive. Whether I’m planning fun activities, helping with homework, sticking to routines, or simply being someone they can rely on, I always show up with patience, responsibility, and care. My priority is to make sure each child feels supported, safe, and happy. I’m excited to meet all the amazing kids and families!

On her own, she’s cared for children as young as: 6 months old

Future plans: I plan to graduate with my bachelor’s in finance and risk management in May 2027 and pursue a career in banking or insurance. I also hope to travel and experience new cities and countries.

When she's not babysitting: I love spending time outside and taking my dog, Teddy, to the beach. I also enjoy baking, listening to music, and doing crafts.

Kathryn was an exceptional nanny for my neighbor. She then went on to care for my children full time, who were ages 2, 6, and 9.
Kathryn has truly been the biggest blessing to our family. She is patient, kind, proactive, and trustworthy just to name a few qualities regarding her character. I have never had someone connect with my children the way she has. She nannied for us for 2 1/2 years and was always on time, prepared and excited to help. My 3 children (which are a handful) were all taken care of to highest degree in Kathryn’s care, my kids were always so excited to see her. She cooked them 2 meals on a daily basis, ensured homework was done, they were bathed, and tucked in upon our return. She fed my youngest bottles when she needed, and catered towards my kiddos’ strange dinner requests. When completing homework with Kathryn my kids began to get excited about what they were learning. Her creative approach facilitated my kids’ interest in school which was one of the many bonuses of having her around. She took them out consistently to the playground, kids museums, etc. and they always had a blast. She is one of the kindest young women I have the pleasure of knowing. We miss her dearly and know that as a Seminole Sitter she would absolutely excel.

I met Kathryn through one of my friends who used her as a sitter. My kids were 18 months and 3 years old when she first started and when she moved away they were 4 and 6.
Kathryn is amazing with kids. She is so caring, patient, and engaging, and always found creative ways to keep my girls entertained. She’s very responsible, attentive, and an excellent communicator. She has such a natural ability to connect with kids of all ages and makes them feel comfortable and cared for. I can’t recommend her enough!
