Background: I am a student at Florida State University currently pursuing a Bachelor's of Psychology with a minor in child development. I started babysitting my cousins when I was around the age of 11, and from there I have had the pleasure of babysitting a plethora of children. I also grew up dancing and helped teach young children from the time I was 12 onwards. I spent a lot of my time volunteering at my mom's school when I was in middle school and high school. She has worked as a special education teacher my whole life, so I have had plenty of experience working with children who have special needs. Currently, being a student at Florida State has furthered my love for helping nurture children further. I have just finished ASL at Florida State, and hope to continue my knowledge on the language further. I thoroughly enjoy connecting with children and their families, and I strive to provide a safe and loving environment for them!
She’s cared for children as young as: 9 months old
Future plans: I recently got accepted into graduate school at FSU, so I will be pursuing a Master's of Public Health next fall! I hope to be able to work in a hospital in health administration once I graduate and provide excellent care when it comes to running the analytical side of things as well as providing quality patient care.
When she's not babysitting: I serve as the Senior Co-Captain for the club dance team at Florida State and I absolutely adore it!
Defining Quote: “Nothing dims the light that shines from within.” - Maya Angelou
“At church, Kaylee helped assist the younger children with variety activities, like VBS. Also, I am a school teacher and Kaylee would help out in my classroom. She would listen to them read and work with them on first grade math skills. I’ve observed her working with PreK to first graders at my school and at the church.
She is a kind and patient young lady. She always has a smile, and she wants to help the students learn. She is dependable and reliable. I know my students were excited to work with Kaylee.”
“Kaylee is polite, attentive, and incredibly caring. She listens, is encouraging, and always has the child’s best interest in mind. Kaylee is a leader yet knows the importance of taking a step back to let the child shine and learn.”
