Ms. Karly

Birthday: September 15th

Hometown: Fernandina Beach, FL

Favorite Crayola color: Blue-Green

Background: I started babysitting at around 15 years old! I have cared for children from 18 months -15 years old. I also worked at a sleep-away summer camp, serving military children and children with intellectual disabilities.

On her own, she’s cared for children as young as: 6 months old

Future plans: My dream career is to be an attorney and I plan on attending FSU Law School after graduation! However, I want to take a gap year in between to travel!

When she’s not babysitting: I love getting outdoors and hanging out with my friends. There are many great hiking trails in and around Tallahassee and I also love finding fun spots on campus to hangout at!

Defining quote: “Count your age by friends, not years. Count your life by smiles, not tears.” - John Lennon

Karly was amazing!! We will definitely use her again!

Karly worked with me as a counselor at a sleep away summer camp. She is a wonderful human being, and a terrific child care professional. Regardless of long hours, challenging situations, hot weather, and shifting plans in schedule, Karly was continually positive and supportive of the kids. Of all of the people on staff this summer who could have asked me for a reference ,I can easily say that Karly gets my highest reference and praise.. After being a Camp Director for the last 22 years and a parent for the last 19, it is without reservation that I recommend Karly to your child care service.

Karly has always been on time. She sticks to the schedule provided. She fixes the children meals and snacks. She would play with them, read to them, and actually play board games which is rare today. She always assured their safety. Karly was very exceptional with my grandson with several different disabilities. It takes a special person to be able to have the patience for a child with behavioral disabilities such as our grandson. She knew how to divert his attention when necessary. Karly would clean up after herself and the children. I knew she was a good babysitter when the kids requested I call Karly to come over.
