Ms. Hannah W. (Atlanta)

I joined Seminole Sitters in August 2016! I now live in Atlanta, Georgia, but I'm willing to travel out to the greater Atlanta area as well (Decatur, Tucker, Smyrna, Stone Mountain, etc.) should a family need it.

Background: I am a Clinical Psychology graduate student living in the Atlanta area. I was born and raised in Thomasville, Georgia as the middle of 7 high-energy, awesome kids. Given that my family is so large, this is when my childcare experience first began! I helped raise my three younger siblings and then moved onto paid babysitting experience through caring for family friends' children and eventually professionally through Seminole Sitters. Seminole Sitters has given me the opportunity to work in a wide variety of settings - with individual families on a regular basis, churches, groups events, and even the Florida House of Representatives! I have experience caring for children of all ages - newborns to older children and every stage in-between. I am a high-energy caregiver with a background in Child Development and Family Psychology. I am also proficient in ASL and love helping babies communicate early through learning basic signs. It is important to me that I always engage children through active play, quality time, thoughtful conversation, and listening. I love getting to be apart of a child's growth and development through babysitting and hope you will trust me with your little ones!

I have been trained in Seizure Recognition and First Aid by Epilepsy Florida.

On her own, she’s cared for children as young as: 4 weeks old

Future plans: I will be graduating with my M.S. in Clinical Psychology in 2022 and intend to work in community health clinics to provide mental health services to underserved populations - beyond college, I hope to have a lot of little ones and be a Mama myself!

When I'm not babysitting: When I'm not babysitting, I am most likely cooking/baking (an activity that can be messy with little ones but I love to do with them, nonetheless) for my family and friends, reading a great non-fiction book (usually Psychology-related), gardening, or practicing yoga.
