Ms. Jayda
/Birthday: April 4th
Hometown: Jacksonville, FL
Favorite Crayola color: Blue
Background: My love for childcare really started back in eighth grade when I cared for my infant nephew during the summer while my sister worked. That experience taught me patience, responsibility, and how important it is for parents to feel safe leaving their child with someone they trust. I began babysitting in 2024 for a small family from my church. Over the years, I’ve also helped care for my nieces and nephews, assisting with feeding, diaper changes, bedtime routines, homework help, and keeping them engaged with creative activities instead of just screen time. I’m comfortable preparing simple meals, maintaining a clean and organized space, supervising outdoor play, helping with basic school assignments, and following specific household rules and schedules.
I’m currently in college studying health information, which has strengthened my attention to detail, organization, and understanding of safety and confidentiality. Families can count on me to be dependable, communicative, and calm under pressure. I genuinely enjoy building positive connections with children while creating a safe, structured, and fun environment where they feel supported and cared for.
She’s cared for children as young as: 5 days old
Future plans: Over the next five to ten years, I see myself established in my career field, working in a hospital setting with my master’s degree completed and fully operating in my purpose. I won’t just be in the room; I’ll be qualified, certified, and confident, with multiple credentials under my belt that reflect discipline and long-term commitment. I see growth, not comfort. Personally, I envision being married, building a strong partnership rooted in God, not just emotions. A relationship grounded in faith, accountability, and shared vision. I also see myself traveling with my spouse, experiencing new cultures and creating memories before and while starting a family of our own. Motherhood won’t just be a title; it will be intentional. Everything I’m building over the next decade spiritually, professionally, and personally will be aligned, structured, and centered on purpose. Not drifting. Not guessing. Moving with direction and faith.
When she's not babysitting: When I’m not babysitting, I’m usually at home staying on top of homework or spending real, quality time with my family and friends because I’m very family-oriented. I don’t just say that! I actually value being present and making time for the people who matter most to me. I also prioritize my health, whether that means being consistent in the gym or cooking healthy meals for the week instead of eating whatever is convenient. Taking care of my body and staying disciplined is important to me. Outside of that, I enjoy listening to music and expressing myself through styling outfits. Fashion is another way I show creativity and confidence. Overall, I try to live balanced: focused on responsibilities, grounded in family, and intentional about my well-being.
Defining quote: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways trust in Him and He will guide your path.” Proverbs 3:5-6
“Jayda is such a sweet outgoing person. Every time I spoke with her in church she was always smiling, when she approached me asking if I needed any assistance with babysitting I informed her that I actually was looking for someone later in the year, when the time came around she was able to help. I observed her being patient, kind, gentle and caring with my son, she’s awesome with the kids, my son adores her.”
“Jayda’s been a help to my family. I’m so grateful to have met her in a time of need. Such a kind sweet soul. She’s a very caring young lady. She is able to enforce family rules, mature, is loving/affectionate, kind/compassionate, and reliable/dependable.”
