Ms. Lara

[My name rhymes with Sarah.]

Birthday: May 15th

Hometown: Tallahassee, FL

Favorite Crayola color: Wisteria

Background: I have been babysitting for families since I was 14 years old. In high school, I took Early Childhood Development for two years and gained experience to watching and teaching the babies and toddlers of my teachers in a daycare setting. I have experience with food allergies and know how to use an Epi-Pen if needed. I have watched kids from the age of 6 months to preteen and always make sure they’re having fun and learning in a safe environment.

I have received training on how to support children and teens with ASD from the FSU Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (CARD).

On my own, I’ve cared for children as young as: 6 months old. I’ve cared for children as young as 4 months old with the assistance of others.

Future plans: I would like to travel after college, maybe around the world once I visit every state.

When I'm not babysitting: I spend a lot of time with my kitten, watching Netflix, hanging out with my boyfriend, and sitting in nature.

Defining quote: “True confidence leaves no room for jealousy. When you know you are great, you have no need to hate.” - Nicki Minaj

Lara is very interactive with my kids and gives them the attention they need at all times. She is a very respectful, well mannered, and compassionate person. She is dependable and is there when I need her to be. She builds a great relationship with the kids and they really enjoy having her come over.

Lara is extremely patient and loving. She kept the kids on a schedule, she was on time every day, and didn’t have problems staying late. She ensured the kids had outside time every day and kept them engaged with interactive games and activities. I never worried about leaving my kids with her because I knew they were in great hands.
