Ms. Madeleine S.
/Birthday: November 22nd
Hometown: Los Angeles, CA
Favorite Crayola color: Cerulean Blue
Background: I’m an Honors student at Florida State University studying Cell and Molecular Neuroscience with a passion for working with kids. I have over six years of childcare experience with children ranging from newborns to preteens. I’ve worked with families of all sizes and have experience with newborn and infant care, bottle feeding, diapering, sleep routines, potty training, ADHD, homework help, and transportation.
I’ve also worked as a reading and math tutor for a kindergartener, a science and math tutor for middle schoolers, and as a newborn nanny. In addition, I’ve volunteered at an elementary school as a reading buddy and classroom assistant. I’ve taken several child development courses, including child psychology, childhood trauma, and lifespan development, which have given me an even better understanding of children and their individual needs.
I love creating a safe and fun environment where kids can thrive! I’m excited to get to know new families and build relationships with the kids I care for!
She’s cared for children as young as: 7 weeks old
Future plans: I hope to go to medical school and become a doctor.
When she’s not babysitting: In my free time I like to read, go to the gym, run, volunteer, and hang out with friends!
Defining quote: "You're braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think." – Winnie the Pooh
“Madeleine is fantastic - she is kind, nurturing and fun with babies. She is responsible and communicative. The best babysitter for an infant I could imagine”
“She is very patient. My son has delayed learning and needed extra help to stay up with his peers which she did a commendable job providing.”
