Ms. Lydia

Birthday: March 30th

Hometown: Jacksonville, FL

Favorite Crayola color: Forest Green

Background: At age 13 I started working yearly at a summer camp as an assistant and lead counselor for kids that ranged 5 - 12 years old. I have also worked in after care at my old school which included taking care of kids ages 5 - 15, and helping them with homework. In addition to both of those, I have babysat for countless family members, family friends, parents' coworkers; these are the settings where I cared for infants and toddlers. I am pursuing a degree in elementary education with a minor in child development at FSU. I have also worked with kids who have severe ADHD and anxiety, autistic kids, and kids with allergies or sensitivities.

On my own, I’ve cared for children as young as: 10 months old

Future plans: I want to graduate FSU with my degree in elementary education and start teaching K-2nd grade at an elementary school.

When I'm not babysitting: I love to read, I am always happy to try a new coffee shop, and I love doing fun activities with my friends.

Defining quote: “A person's a person no matter how small.” - Dr. Seuss

Lydia is very attentive to children. She is safe and has discretion about what they need and how to help them play together. She is calm and confident and absolutely adored by my daughter. She communicates well, shows up on time. She loves kids and has a real passion.
