[LAY-nee]

Birthday: March 14th

Hometown: Cincinnati, OH

Favorite Crayola color: Aquamarine

Background: I’ve been babysitting for since 2020 and love working with kids of all ages. I’m a Marketing and Business Management student at Florida State, and I strive to bring patience, creativity, and responsibility to every job. I can help with homework, plan fun games and activities, prep meals and snacks, and keep routines on track with naps, bedtime, and more. I’m also comfortable following dietary needs and creating a safe, positive environment where kids feel happy and cared for. I have experience with kids from ages 2 months - 12 years old, and absolutely love to create unforgettable and trusting relationships with all the families I work with.

On my own, I’ve cared for children as young as: 2 months old

Future plans: In the next 5–10 years, I hope to have graduated from college and established myself in a career that I truly enjoy and that allows me to grow both personally and professionally. I want to use the skills I’ve developed through my studies and experiences to contribute to an organization where I can make a meaningful impact. Beyond my career, I also hope to be building a strong foundation in my personal life. I look forward to getting married and starting a family of my own, creating a supportive and loving environment much like the one I was raised in. Overall, my vision for the future is to find a balance between professional success and personal happiness, where I can continue learning, achieving, and caring for the people around me.

When I'm not babysitting: When I'm not babysitting I love to workout. Wellness is a huge part of my daily routine whether that means going to the gym, going on a run, or taking care of my body. I am very passionate about health and being the best possible version of myself. I also love to cook and bake! When I am back home in Ohio I am usually either playing with my dog, Sallie, taking walks with my mom, or testing out a new recipe!

Defining quote: "To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world." - Dr. Suess

Laney has been our kids’ sitter for 3 summers. She took care of my 3 year old and 7 year old. Fed them, kept them entertained, drove them to activities like the zoo and other places. Laney is playful, keeps kids engaged, able to cook, is not on her phone, responsible, makes sure kids are safe. Safe driver, never had any issues driving my van. Comes from a great family and is respectful.

Laney has helped me with my 3 young children, ages 8, 6 and 2! So helping with everything from meal prep to diapers! Laney is very responsible, always on time, flexible, and has good attention to detail. It’s not easy to juggle 3 kids under 8 with multiple activities and personalities. My daughter has Celiac and she was very good about keeping an extra eye on her.
