Mr. Patrick

Birthday: October 17th

Hometown: Naples, FL

Favorite Crayola color: Crayellow

Background: I am a student at FSU pursuing a major in Digital Media Production and a minor in English Studies. I have worked as a camp counselor and have been babysitting since 2016 and it is simply my favorite place to be. I have been responsible for tutoring, sports camps, gaming camps, art camps, and many more relaxed home times. It is my personal mission to ensure the children I am responsible for are not only safe but entertained and happy.

I have cared for kids on the autism spectrum and those with Down syndrome. I have also cared for kids with food allergies and dietary restrictions; I know how to avoid cross-contamination and am familiar with Epi-pens.

He’s cared for children as young as: 6 months old

Future plans: I am hoping to pursue a job in Education first internationally and then domestically. I believe that teachers and professors are those who sculpt the world as we know it by teaching children how to be productive members of society.

When he’s not babysitting: I absolutely love the outdoors, so whether it be walking through a park, hiking, going to the beach, boating, or even outdoor sports it’s where I thrive. Though I love being outside when it's not 1,000,000 degrees I am also a big nerd. I love board games, reading, video games, D&D, watching my movies and TV shows, and just having some good laughs.

Defining quote: “Do or do not. There is no try.” — Yoda (Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back)

Mr. Patrick is the first male babysitter our family has had, and I just have to say: I don’t know why we waited so long to give it a go! Patrick has been a positive, attentive caretaker for our two girls (8 and 2). They love doing board games and outdoor play with him. The girls are always excited when they find out Mr. Patrick is on the schedule and they talk after about how much fun they had.

Mr. Patrick was just right for our 3-year-old who takes a little while to warm up and then has tons of energy. He kept our son busy and happy playing inside and outside. My son particularly liked their ‘outside time’ when Mr. Patrick drew a dragon (my son’s favorite animal). We left that dragon there for weeks because it was awesome!

Our toddler needed a sitter who was ready to play hard and take care of a little one who still needed diaper changes and a nap. Mr. Patrick was a great fit for our family. He definitely kept our little one entertained and active as well as made to sure take care of all his needs so that he was a happy and content little camper when we got home.

Patrick was my best counselor. Children of all ages, girls and boys, loved him. He makes up fun, innovative games and is always great at using his resources coming up with unique activies. He is extremely fun and he is fair and is great at working out conflicts between children. Safety is always his first priority; he was always the one to let everyone know when the lightning alarm went off, and it wasn’t safe to play outside. He organized and executed water days, olympics for our camp, carnival games, ect. Not only do all my campers love him but they also respect him. They can’t wait until they are in Mr. Patrick’s group!

Patrick was and still is our best counselor. He treats everyone with the utmost respect and is very good with the children. Without using force, he keeps the children under control and facilitates and safe and fun environment that the campers can enjoy themselves in. In my 4 years working with Patrick, he has never disappointed me in any aspect. He is super helpful with anything technology-wise and knows how to deal with virtually any issue. Patrick is also super creative when coming up with new and exciting games or things to do with the kids. I can personally guarantee that Patrick is one of the best possible choices for a childcare position.
