Ms. Stella
/Birthday: April 13th
Hometown: Venice, FL
Other languages: Basic Spanish
Favorite Crayola color: Canary
Background: I am an elementary education major at FSU! My first job in childcare was at the YMCA summer camp and after school care. I also started babysitting independently at that time. This summer I had the opportunity to go to Arkansas for the first time and work at Camp Ozark in the mountains! I have experience working with special needs children at the summer camps I’ve worked at as well as growing up with a younger brother who has autism. These experiences have taught me how to be empathetic, patient, and kind while meeting the individual needs of each child. I love serving in my church’s children’s ministry and recently went on a mission trip to Costa Rica to teach children about the gospel!
She’s cared for children as young as: 18 months old
Future plans: I hope to graduate in May of 2029 and start teaching at an elementary school in August of that year!
When she's not babysitting: I love to bake, go to the beach, and play sports with my friends.
Defining quote: “See the good in people and help them.” -Mahatma Gandhi
“Stella has such a light about her. The kids automatically went to her and didn’t want to leave!”
“Stella has a great personality to work with children. She doesn’t get stressed out or become impatient with the kids. She has taught kids as young as 6 yrs old how to ride horses. She is very safety conscious. I believe she can handle a wide range of issues that may occur while watching kids.”
