Ms. Mary K.

Due to allergies, I am unable to babysit in homes with large, shedding dogs.

Birthday: September 4th

Hometown: Pearl River, NY

Favorite Crayola color: Fern

Background: I am a current student at Florida State University, majoring in biological sciences on a pre-PA track. I have been working with kids since I was 13 years old, and I am excited to continue this throughout college down in Florida. I am originally from New York, and I am the oldest daughter of four. I have been caring for my younger siblings since middle school. In addition to babysitting in homes, I have worked at summer camps, taught swim lessons, worked at my local Little League field, and volunteered at religious camps. I am lifeguard, CPR, AED, first aid and waterfront certified. I am also in the process of gaining my EMT license. I have cared for children aged 4 months to 13 years. I have cared for children with peanut and dairy allergies previously. I began babysitting in my area for up to 5 kids at a time and took my love for babysitting to working at camps, where I would oversee 30 children at a time. I look forward to creating an enjoyable, safe environment for children, and making sure no parent has to worry.

I've cared for children as young as: 4 months old

Future plans: I plan on going to PA school after graduating, and hope to stay in Florida for school! I plan to work in the dermatology field once I graduate PA school. I would like to stay in Florida as long as I can!

When I'm not babysitting: I am very into music, I love to travel, cook and hangout with my friends. I love to sit on campus and study as well.

Defining quote: “It comes down to a simple choice, really. Get busy living or get busy dying.” - Andy Dufresne

Mary was a wonderful and responsible sitter for my daughter from 7 - 10 years old. She is warm, engaging, and smart. She helped with homework and simple meal prep. I work as a physician with random hours and Mary was very accommodating to my schedule. My daughter is now 12 and we are still in contact with Mary, as she left an indelible impression.

The kids love Mary, she truly cares for them also and is a pleasure to have in our home when we need help.
