Background: Growing up, I would often care for my four younger siblings. In high school I planned and taught my own preschool class of 7 students. Once a week our co-op would meet and I would have the kids from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, teaching them from a curriculum I made myself. About the same time is when I started working for a family with an infant with disabilities. Since that time, I have been a nanny for several different families, watching all different ages (the youngest being 3 months). One of the most fun jobs I had was watching infant twins 5 days a week until they were old enough to go to school. I loved teaching them baby signs, how to share, as well as their letters and numbers.

Future plans: I am working on starting up a wedding photography business.
When she's not babysitting: I am learning as much as I can about photography. I love to read books, especially fiction.

“Evelyn has been our nanny off and on since our son was a baby. He is now 5. WE LOVE EVELYN! Our son always requests her over any other sitters. She is very quiet at first... but not with the kids. She talks to him, teaches him, plays with him, and comes up with activities for him. It’s kinda crazy... she has some kind of calming kid magic voodoo. And our guy is ACTIVE. She is able to really calm him. She always responds quickly to our requests, shows up on time, and communicates needs or behavior. She also tidies up when our son is occupied, which is a huge blessing. I cannot recommend her enough. She has become part of our family. The one thing I would say for new families is... she is shy and quiet, because she comes from a large family, and it’s part of her nature, but DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE HER. She is fabulous with kids.”

She has so much patience and was amazing at getting the baby to eat and sleep, even when he was being difficult. She was sweet and assertive with our 3-year-old, which was needed. She was always reliable and hard-working. We had a great experience with Evelyn as our babysitter.”
