Ms. Amanda W. (Tampa)

Birthday: November 19th

Hometown: Palm Harbor, FL

Other languages: Conversational Spanish

Favorite Crayola color: Robin’s Egg Blue

Background: I first started babysitting for Seminole Sitters during the fall of 2009. At the time, I was taking classes at FSU and I continued babysitting in Tallahassee for almost three years before moving back to the Tampa Bay area. I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to continue working as a Seminole Sitter here, in Tampa in between my other work. Apart from babysitting, I have served as a volunteer for Big Brothers Big Sisters and I have also volunteered in the children's section at my local library.

I have received training on how to support children and teens with ASD from the FSU Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (CARD).

She’s cared for children as young as: 2 weeks old

Future plans: My goals revolve around traveling the world! It might involve an au pair job, but I am open to whatever the future may bring. After that, I plan on settling down to start a family of my own.

When she’s not babysitting: I love reading (my favorite genre is fiction), but I also have a passion for experiencing new things. You can usually find me trying out local restaurants and discovering hidden gems around town.
