Ms. Sarah M. (Sarasota & St. Pete)

I live in Sarasota but grew up in Seminole, near St. Pete! With notice, I can babysit in St. Pete and plan to visit my parents while there. :)

Birthday: March 11th

Hometown: Seminole, FL

Other languages: Limited American Sign Language, Spanish, and Hebrew

Favorite Crayola color: Ultramarine Blue

Background:  I started babysitting when I was in middle school while volunteering in my mom’s pre-k classroom. I have babysat children who had autism, Down Syndrome, and other disabilities and medical conditions. I was a part of the marching band and played clarinet and oboe. I continued playing oboe at Florida State University, where I studied music therapy. I moved back home for my internship and graduated from FSU in the spring of 2018. I became a Board-Certified Music Therapist soon after graduation. I currently work at St. Anthony’s Hospital and music therapy private practice, as well as teaching my high school marching band and music at my synagogue.

She’s cared for children as young as: 3 months

Future plans:  I hope to become a full time music therapist. I also plan on applying to grad school in the next couple of years to continue with my education in music therapy.

When I’m not babysitting: I’m usually at home with my dog, Westley, or at a local coffee shop. I like trying new restaurants with my friends and having games nights.

Defining quote: “No artist is ever pleased. There is no satisfaction whatever at any time. There is only a queer divine dissatisfaction; a blessed unrest that keeps us marching and makes us more alive than the others.” - Martha Graham to Agnes De Mille

Sarah was wonderful and the three children she had enjoyed their evening.
