I founded Seminole Sitters in response to the local need for reliable childcare; I opened Seminole Sitters in 2007 immediately upon receiving my Bachelor's in Science in Developmental (Child) Psychology from Florida State University. Although I no longer babysit, I enjoy connecting families with our wonderful Seminole Sitters! We look forward to serving your family!

Ever since I became an aunt at the age of seven, I’ve loved being around children. I started volunteering with my church nursery, Vacation Bible School, and yearly mission trips to the inner city children’s program. By the time I was 16 I had already been babysitting and volunteering for years so I got a job at the local rec center, working their summer day camps. I enjoy being creative, teaching and being a role model for every child I’m around. Since then, I’ve worked with multiple families through nannying, babysitting and learning centers.

My mom is a pre-school teacher at the same school I went to when I was little. I’ve volunteered many times for her class of 3 year-olds and I have had the pleasure to meet many new families and help them out and gain more and more experience with the little ones.

Through Girl Scouts I gained experience working and volunteering with younger children of a variety of ages. My experience ranges from volunteering with children's church choir, children with disabilities, and coaching a 4-5 y/o soccer team. As a future teacher, I have learned how to work with children with different interests and how to handle a variety of situations.

My passion for working with children became apparent to me when I started the Early Childhood Development program in my high school. During this time, I took classes regarding child development and interned at multiple schools working with young children and creating lesson plans for them. At the end of this program, I took a test to earn The Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential, which is the most widely recognized credential in early childhood education. Once I became an FSU student, I used this credential to assistant teach at the FSU preschool - where I worked with ages 3-5 in a classroom setting.
