Background: I recently finished my internship at a local Music Therapy private practice and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy at Florida State University. I grew up in sunny Seminole (near St. Petersburg), where I fell in love with music and joined the marching band in high school. Growing up, my mom was a teacher’s assistant at the local elementary school where she taught pre-k VPK/ESE. In middle school, I began volunteering in her classroom where I learned to work with children who had Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down's syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and other disabilities and medical conditions. I continued volunteering all the way through high school. I started babysitting with friends when I was eleven years old, babysitting younger siblings of my friends, and soon on my own when I was thirteen years old. I also work as a summer camp counselor, where I teach music and was the counselor of 4th graders, as well as a counselor for the special needs portion of the camp.

Future plans: I hope to become a Board Certified Music Therapist in the next few months and continue working the St. Petersburg area as a music therapist.  I also wish to travel anywhere I possibly can!

When I’m not babysitting: I am usually studying for my board certification or going to local coffee shops! I also enjoy traveling with friends and camping with my family in various state parks. In the Fall, I am usually helping out with my high school marching band.

Defining quotation: “No artist is ever pleased. There is no satisfaction whatever at any time. There is only a queer divine dissatisfaction; a blessed unrest that keeps us marching and makes us more alive than the others.” -- Martha Graham to Agnes De Mille
