Background: Growing up as the youngest of three, wanting to take care of others (instead of being the one taken care of) was always a dream of mine. As I entered high school, I began getting involved with my church’s “Babysitting Bonanza” events, where I watched after children ages 3-10. I was a camp counselor every summer and I also volunteered for Golisano Children’s Hospital in the PICU. During my summers as a hospital volunteer, I held, fed, and played with infants, toddlers, and children. I also was an AFCAAM and Catholic Charities tutor for four years, where I tutored children in math and English. As the neighborhood babysitter and active volunteer, I didn’t want my involvement with children to end there! I love being a mentor to little ones and cannot wait to get to know you and your family!
Future Plans: I am currently a public relations major and am hoping to get a minor in hospital management. Although I don’t think I’m cut out for the medical field, I want to be involved with the hospital in some aspect.
When I am not babysitting: I am very involved on FSU’s campus with Greek Life, National Honor Society, National Society of Leadership and Success, Florida Public Relations Association, and I’m a blogger for Clutch magazine! When I have a completely free weekend, I love visiting home to see family, as well as my big English bulldog and French bulldog puppy!
