Background: I’ve always loved kids - even when I was one myself! I’ve been babysitting kids of all ages for more than 8 years. It began as soon as I turned 13 and was old enough to work in the church nursery. I cared for newborns and infants on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. In the summers that followed, I became involved with my church’s vacation Bible school. I can remember spending hours planning activities and crafts. I’ve always been crafty, but there was a new-found joy sharing this part of myself with little ones. Through the church, I also had the opportunity to volunteer with Nathaniel's Hope - an organization dedicated to serving children with special needs and disabilities. In high school, my love for children extended when families from all walks of life entrusted me with their kids as both a babysitter and a tutor. I am dedicated to helping children learn and grow in fun and safe environments. I like to bring a “babysitting backpack” full of crafts and games along to appointments. I’ve found that it makes the transition easier and the children feel a little more comfortable about having a new babysitter in their home.
She’s cared for children as young as: newborn
Future plans: I am finishing up my senior year as an English major. I’ll be graduating in December and I plan to stick around Tallahassee for a while to work and plan out my next steps.
When she’s not babysitting: If I’m not babysitting, I’m probably in my car, on an adventure. I love to travel, experience new things, and journal about it!
