Ms. Juliana

Birthday: July 25th

Hometown: Tampa, FL

Other languages: Fluent in Spanish

Favorite Crayola color: Sunglow

Background:  I am a third year Social Work student at FAMU. I have 5 years experience caring for children of all ages, from newborn to teens. I want to make sure that every child I care for is not only safe but is also having a great time while they are with me. I love arts and crafts, being outside, baking, and coloring. I have also been a tutor to most of the kids I have cared for in the past so I am more than willing to help with homework of any subject, including Spanish since it is my first language. Problem solving is one of my specialties and it has come in handy when working with siblings or groups. I look forward to meeting your family and providing my services for your little ones.

I have worked with children who have asthma, autism, behavioral issues, food allergies, and learning.

She’s cared for children as young as: Newborn

Future plans: After graduation, I plan on going to grad school for counseling to then move on to work on my PhD. I dream of working with teens as a counselor/school social worker helping them through anything they may need and advocate for them when they cannot do so for themselves. I also want to start a non-profit organization helping immigrant families with the process of getting adjusted to living in the states.

When she's not babysitting: Whenever I'm not babysitting, you can find me with studying, at the gym, or with my two doggies! I love working out once per day, meditating, or doing yoga, it keeps me going. Being in my third year consists of writing what feels like a million essays, so I try to stay ahead and work on those whenever I have some free time. On Sundays, we love taking our Pit/Lab mix and Shih Tzu to the dog park and letting them run around in the dirt with the other dogs. Finally, any chance I get, I love to try new DIY's, whether it be a new painting for the house or a recipe from Pinterest, I always make time to explore my creativity!

Everything went perfectly! She was wonderful - she brought Uno cards and coloring sheets, and my son said she was so nice. I really appreciate the help that allowed me to get to work.
