Ms. Jessica L. (Gainesville)

Birthday: September 18

Hometown: Gainesville, FL

Favorite Crayola color: A tie between purple pizazz and mountain meadow

Background: I was inspired to work with kids by my kindergarten teacher, who showed me how much of an impact I could have on children's lives by loving them and giving them the support they need. Because of this, I have been working with children in any way I could since I was 12. I babysat for families in my neighborhood, worked in my church's nursery, and spent summers nannying. I have worked with children as young as three months and as old as 15! I have experience working with newborns, changing diapers, making bottles, and putting them down to sleep. I can help children with homework and aim to provide a safe, fun, and nurturing environment when caring for children.

She’s cared for children as young as: 3 months old

Future plans: I plan on graduating from the University of Florida in December of 2018. After graduation, I will be pursuing a graduate degree in social work to go on and work in the medical social work field!

When she's not babysitting: When I'm not babysitting, I can be found relaxing with my friends, watching one of my favorite shows, 'Gilmore Girls,' or going on adventures like hiking and kayaking.
