Background: I am currently a student at Florida State University, pursuing a Nursing degree. I hope to become a Pediatric Mental Health Nurse. I started babysitting when I was 13 and quickly realized that I wanted to be around children professionally. During high school, I was an active member of a non-profit organization known as Best Buddies, that is dedicated to creating opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. I was also an assistant Sunday school teacher and coached an elementary school cheerleading team. These experiences have expand my knowledge of kids and teenagers, but have also helped my love for children grow.

She’s cared for children as young as: 4 months old

Future plans: I plan on graduating from Florida State University with a Nursing degree and then go on to graduate school to become a Nurse Practitioner. I aspire to become a certified Mental Health Nurse and help adolescents struggling with mental disabilities. I also hope to move somewhere in the South with colder weather.

When she’s not babysitting: I like to keep myself busy- I am always on the move! I moved to Tallahassee in June of 2018, so I am still exploring the area and all it has to offer. I recently became a member of a sorority at Florida State University and that has brought me many friendships and a sense of family while I am away from home. I am very passionate about cheerleading and tennis and love to do both of those things as often as possible. When I have free time, I love to read! It is my favorite pastime!

Defining quote: “You know, sometimes all you need is twenty seconds of insane courage. Just literally twenty seconds of just embarrassing bravery. And I promise you, something great will come of it.” – Benjamin Mee
