Background: I am currently a Sophomore at FSU pursuing a degree in Special Education with a minor in Spanish. I have been babysitting since middle school and have experience with kids ages two to 13. While I had always known I wanted a career involving children, I found my love for special needs in high school after joining our Best Buddies program. Following that, I have worked at summer camps and other locations for children of all ages with disabilities and my love for that work has grown every day since. In college, I still continue my volunteer work by reading to students at Springwood Elementary who struggle to stay up to their reading level. Twice a week I visit in order to do my part in ending illiteracy. I look forward to getting more involved in Tallahassee and meeting amazing families!
Future plans: I intend to continue my education onto my Master’s degree in Tallahassee. Long term, my ultimate goal is to one day open my own school for children with disabilities.
When she’s not babysitting: I am a member of a sorority on campus and am heavily involved with that. When I’m not in Tallahassee, you can usually find me traveling, as I love meeting new people and experiencing new cultures!
