Ms. Brenda

Birthday: July 18th

Hometown: Saint Johns, FL

Favorite Crayola color: Pixie Powder

Background: I’m currently going to school at Tallahassee Community College and taking classes for my AA, and to get into the Dental Hygiene program. I’ve been babysitting since I was 13 years old, and have worked with kids of all ages! I have also worked with kids that are handicapped and have other special needs. My mom is a pre-school teacher at the same school I went to when I was little. I’ve volunteered many times for her class of three-year-olds. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting lots of new families, gaining more and more experience with the little ones.

I have experience caring for children who are handicapped and have other special needs.

She’s cared for children as young as: 1 month old

Future plans: In the future I hope to be a Dental Hygienist and move to Savannah, GA, I fell in love with the town on a recent visit there with my best friend. I love meeting new people and making new friends. But for now my plans are to get my AA and then get accepted into TCCs Dental Hygiene Program!

When she's not babysitting: When I’m not babysitting I’m probably watching my favorite show ‘Friends’, or I’m hanging out with my friends that I’ve known since middle and high school. I love getting outside and visiting Wakulla springs very often, but most of all just being around friends just makes my day.

Thank you so much for sending Ms. Brenda yesterday to babysit my children. Please put her name at the top of the list for babysitters for me! She was excellent! My kids wanted her to stay longer!

I just wanted to send a brief note to let you know how much we enjoyed having Brenda in our home last week. Our daughter, Stella, instantly warmed to her during the initial visit the week prior and she went to Brenda with open arms that Monday morning - I can’t tell you how comforting that was for us! Brenda was kind enough to text throughout the day to let us know that Stella was having a good time and eating/sleeping well. Stella was all smiles each morning when Brenda arrived and was playing hard when I arrived back home in the afternoons.
This was our first babysitting or nanny experience since Stella was born just over a year ago, and we are so glad we made the leap with Seminole Sitters! Brenda is top notch and we know Stella was in great, caring hands. We all look forward to having Brenda back soon!

We love Miss Brenda!! She was awesome and the girls are asking for her this morning!!! We can’t wait to have her sit the girls when we are back in Tallahassee. Thank you for coming to the Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce’s annual conference every year - it makes such a huge difference to have you all there. :)

I would like to recognize Ms. Brenda on the amazing job that she did this past Saturday. Brandon and I knew it was going to be a great night as soon as she entered our house. Ms. Brenda was immediately ready to engage with the kids. She made the kids feel comfortable like she had known them for years. During the time she was at the house she helped the girls with their homework, watched a movie with the kids, took the kids outside to play (for hours), and assisted the kids with showers and baths before Brandon and I returned home. Did I mention that the house was also clean, no signs of the kids playing around while we were away. Ms. Brenda is a great representative for Seminole Sitters and I look forward to having her watch the kids again.

Last night went so so well. It was such a peaceful first time. Brenda was so sweet and so good with [our daughter]. [Our daughter] definitely loved her and everything went so smoothly.
