Rates

We pay our babysitters well because they are well-qualified, experienced, educated and deserve to be paid their worth. We feel that happy Sitters mean happy kids!

Our rates start at $12/hour for one child, and $2/hour for each sibling. One Sitter can watch six children, or four children if there is a child under the age of 12 months present. There is a fuel surcharge of $3 per playdate within Tallahassee, and $8 per playdate outside city limits - this goes directly to your babysitter.

On some days, our rate will increase by 50%. This enables Seminole Sitters to pay babysitters time-and-a-half for these days that they spend away from their loved ones, and is incentive for them to be available on days that are typically very high in demand. This equates to a rate of $18/hour for one child and $3/hour for each sibling. The fuel surcharge remains the same. These days are:

* New Year's Eve (all day) and New Year's Day
* Valentine's Day (all day)
* Labor Day
* Thanksgiving Day, the Wednesday preceding it, and Friday following it
* Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
* ALL FSU HOME FOOTBALL GAMES (all day)

Please be aware: in order to ensure the safety of our staff, we must first meet with your family before sending a Sitter to your home. After this meeting, where you can ask questions and help us understand your needs, you can be considered a family-client.

We request at least one week’s notice of your childcare needs, and regular schedules are highly favored -- please reserve last-minute requests for actual emergencies, and not as a solution for poor planning.
