Ms. Ilona
Birthday: September 24
Hometown: Tallahassee, FL
Favorite Crayola color: Wild Strawberry
Background: I graduated in May 2009 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dietetics. Following graduation I was hired to work as a Nutrition Educator for the Department of Health in Palm Beach County. While working for the Women, Infants, and Children Program — a federally funded supplemental nutrition program — I realized how much I wanted to become a teacher. I will be starting the Elementary Education Master’s program in August 2010. I love and enjoy working, volunteering and mentoring children of all ages and have experience working with children ages newborn through 15 years old. I am so happy to rejoin the Seminole Sitter team. With every opportunity, I strive to make a difference.
I have experience caring for children with allergies (including those in need of an EpiPen), behavioral issues, and learning disabilities.
Future plans: After I complete the Elementary Education Master’s program I would like to work as a 2nd or 3rd grade teacher.
When she's not babysitting: I love to watch and play sports. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends.
Defining quote: “Every one of us gets through the tough times because somebody is there, standing in the gap to close it for us.” – Oprah
